Feb 12
Note: Syd passed on Feb 11 in the evening. Many caregivers have said it is quite common for a loved one to wait until everyone is gone. Syd passed quietly in the evening.
The Calm After The Storm—
Sticking with the hurricane metaphor from previous posts, I have heard they are considering coming up with a category 6 to reflect increases in intensity. I have no doubt there will be a hurricane Syd. (It won’t be in Hawaii because all of those have Hawaiian names). It will probably be somewhere fun. There will be a rapid intensifications which causes people to prepare as well as stockpile alcohol and food. It will collapse prior to landfall and people will be forced to barbecue and drink their supplies. Many people will make coquito (google it—it is delicious). There will be music and dancing and work will be suspended. In all seriousness, it is with incredible sadness that I must come to terms with the realization that Syd has passed. The first picture is the day before she passed. The water is pure glass, just the way she loved it. The second picture is from tonight—thanks to everyone who is keeping my family intact. We appreciate you.
